About Us

A walk of faith!
The Shepherd’s Light

is a 501(c)(3) non-profit charity that has a goal of reaching Israel with the Good News of Jesus the Messiah and bringing His hope and peace to the Jewish people. We also desire to bring that hope and peace to the people of each community in which a Shepherd’s Light fellowship is planted within the USA.

The Shepherd’s Light was established in 2007 by Stephen and Patricia Apple. Two people who felt God calling them to minister in Israel. They first went in 2004 with little money, leaving their family, friends, and everything familiar to them.

Two people who felt God calling them to minister in Israel.

They rented an apartment over the internet in Tel Aviv, a city they had never been to. Amongst a people whose eyes have been closed to the truth. By this simple (but scary) act of obedience, many Jewish people in Tel Aviv have heard Gods Word, and many of these people have given their lives to the Lord. Today The Shepherd’s Light includes a Calvary Chapel church in Tel Aviv, Israel and a Calvary Chapel home fellowship in Haifa. The purpose of each fellowship is to bring God’s love and light to the broken hearted and poor as well as all who seek His peace and forgiveness.

Our three-fold purpose in ministry is to (1) simply teach the Word of God, (2) carry the life saving Gospel of Jesus the Messiah to all who will hear, and (3) to care for the poorest of the poor in His name.

In all we do, we aspire to glorify God through our words and actions.

Caring for the Hopeless & Training Others for Israel Ministry

The real need in life is peace with God. That peace is found in Jesus Christ. We plant churches and fellowships that teach God’s Word and disciple believers to grow in faith.
We produce training videos and offer training sessions for churches and individuals to learn how to effectively start their own ministry. Over 400 people have gone through our training materials to date. Churches have launched their own ongoing Israel ministries.

Caring for the Sick and the Poorest

We visit and care for people with severe and terminal illnesses and help pay for critical care and vital medicines.

The poorest have no hope in society. We present Christ as the hope of the world as we care for their physical needs.

1 Corinthians

13:13

Three things will last forever—faith, hope, and love—and the greatest of these is love.
